Burr Oak Tool Inc. Announces New Option for High Precision Fin Dies

Burr Oak Tool Inc. is pleased to announce the introduction of a new option for our high precision fin dies. The Hydraulic Slit Selector Clamp option. Normally, the slit selection system at the front of the die allows the operator or set-up person to determine which slit blades are activated for the processing of fins with the proper width. In existing systems, this requires the person to climb onto the press and reach into a normally guarded area to tighten the hand knobs that hold the selector plate in place. It also sometimes requires two people to relocate the selector plate to activate the proper number of rows. The new Hydraulic Slit Selector Clamp option allows the selector plate to be correctly positioned by one person from either side of the press using a positioning lever. A simple ‘on/off’ switch located on the fin press console activates the hydraulic clamps creating a positive, locked location for the selector plate. This provides a much safer and more efficient method of selecting the row configuration for the fins.

Most fin dies can be modified and retrofitted for this option.
