Blood Drive Sponsored by Burr Oak Tool Inc.

On June 8th 2006 Burr Oak Tool Inc. sponsored its first official blood drive. Oak Companies Safety Director, Ron Sprowls took initiative to educate, motivate, and recruit donors. "Our initial goal was 30 pints, by the end of the first drive we had produced 38 productive pints of blood." With such an overwhelming interest Burr Oak Tool Inc. decided to continue to hold blood drives for its employees, retires, spouses, and family members. "We hold a blood drive now every eight weeks", states Ron. "Our most recent blood drive produced 91 productive pints with our best drive producing 101 productive pints in June 2007". Burr Oak Tool believes this to be a simple and powerful way to serve the community and allow employees to get involved.
