Job Title: Assembly Engineer
Primary Purpose:

Provide effective solutions to help keep our Capital and RPO projects on time.

Secondary Purpose:

Coordinate and develop procedures and standards for our assembly areas.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Review assembly related routes and times for company's ERP system.

  • Create and revise work instructions and procedures for assembly areas.

  • Assist assembly supervisors with corrective actions to keep projects on time.

  • Organize and lead meetings.

  • Preform audits to assure compliance with BOTI standards.

  • Improve customer experience and satisfaction at time of runoff.

  • Prepare and improve data collection and assist with prioritizing quality issues within assembly.

  • Labor reductions, warranty capture, and investigation on new technologies for our assembly areas.

Reporting Relationships:

The Assembly Engineer reports directly to the VP of Assembly.

General Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree or comparable work experience.

  • Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing and/or assembly prints.

  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Some CAD experience is preferred.

  • Good problem analysis and problem solving.

  • Technical skills in manufacturing and process methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment.

  • High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, and flexible.

  • Documentation of a drug screen must be provided prior to starting this position.
